About the Chenghai Institute

The Chenghai Institute of Global Development and Security at Renmin University of China is a research institute for grand strategic studies grounded in rigorous academic inquiry. The institute was generously funded by Mr. Ye Chenghai, an alumnus of the School of International Studies at Renmin University. As an advanced, intellectual, and international research institution, its mission is to provide intellectual products, conducting research on grand strategies for global development and security for the betterment of the humankind and thereby contributing to the progress of global civilization. We are currently extending a sincere invitation to outstanding scholars worldwide to join our senior fellowship programme.

Programme Introduction

The Chenghai Senior Fellowship Programme offers visiting opportunities for scholars from around the world to conduct research in China.

The Programme welcomes prospective candidates from relevant disciplines and fields, including but not limited to, Political Science, International Relations, Area Studies, History, Strategic Studies, Development Studies, Security Studies, Global Governance, and topics such as Civilisation and Modernisation, China and the World Order, etc.

Position Responsibilities:

1.Engage in research collaboration with faculty and researchers at our university and the Chenghai Institute to jointly advance research on significant issues.

2.Host academic lectures, seminars, and promote academic exchange and cooperation.

3.Participate in exchange activities with our students.

4.Assist in building international cooperation networks and expanding the international influence of the Institute.

Qualifications:

1.Possess a doctoral degree and have significant research achievements and academic influence in the relevant field.

2.Demonstrate strong research abilities and a spirit of teamwork, with the capability to independently conduct high-level research.

3.Have a good command of English (or another widely used international language) in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, to facilitate international communication and collaboration.

4.Work at our university/institution for a specified period (usually between six months to one year).

5.Candidates with extensive research experience or outstanding achievements in key areas will be given priority consideration.

and NO MORE THAN THREE published works that represent the candidate's intellectual achievements
